Nations oppose Americas declaration

Several leaders at the Summit of the Americas are unlikely to sign the final declaration due to disagreements on the global economy and Cuba. Venezuela, Nicaragua, Honduras, Dominica and Bolivia all said on Saturday that they would not agree to the final commitments, Al Jazeera's Dima Khatib reported. "These countries say that they do not accept the final declaration because it is insufficient and unacceptable," Khatib said. "The reasons that these countries give are many. One of them is that the declaration doesn't tackle the problem of capitalism being the reason for the financial crisis that the world is living with right now.
